Strife all around
No peace in sight
Questions with no
Clear answers
Hateful speech
Drowning out reason
Yet, the search
For truth continues
A refusal to remain
Mired in past mistakes
A willingness to
Admit failures
A willingness to
Seek forgiveness
Necessary steps for
A new beginning
Meaningful change
In each heart
That will grow
