Nature of Math

A rising mist covered the water
That filled a placid pond
That was peacefully offset
From the center
Of a quiet meadow –
But this was no
Ordinary mist
Instead of rising
In a solid veil
It appeared to be divided
Into prisms of equal size
Equally spaced across the calm waters
Such an unusual sight
Unexpected
Yet, balanced
And soothing-
A seemingly uncommon connection
Creating a most lasting impression
