Our Voices
Strange to think
My voice sounds
Different to your ears
Than to mine-
An awareness
Only realized
When recorded
And played back-
Like listening
To a stranger
Nothing at all
Like the voice
Inside my head-
Sounds odd to me
But you don’t
Seem to mind-
I guess all that
Truly matters
Is for the voice
Inside my head
To match the one
Inside my heart

Kelley, this brought tears to my eyes. I’ve been sappy today (I’ll write about it 🥰). Hearing your voice…your beautiful words describing the voice in your heart different than what you hear (I get it!)…joy and grief~two sisters. You’re such a beautiful and gifted soul~in and out. I’m so blessed to HEAR your beautiful words and to know you on this journey. Much love and prayers, Karla💛🙏🏻
